CORD initiated psychosocial interventions, targeting the members of SHGs in the Northern region through an array of activities. Women and children who had undergone the trauma of war, considerable abuse and domestic violence within the family are suffering from loss of concentration, memory impairment and motivation thus mothers neglecting family responsibilities and children dropping out of studies.

CORD has initiated counseling programs for needy women and children with the assistance from Divisional Secretariats using qualified counselors. Results have been encouraging and expansion of this activity is one of the top priorities of CORD.
